Unwrapped Recipes

Secret Recipe

Usually all the “fun” foods we buy are full of preservatives, high fructose corn syrup and other additives that our bodies aren’t found of.  America is waking up to the evil of processed foods. We are finding ways to take our favorite snacks and remaking them.  This site is FULL of recipes for all kinds of good food.

Come On ilene

I am loving her site!  It’s clean, I like her writing  and most of all it has some really yummy recipes.

She calls her copycat recipes, “Unwrapped”.  How cute is that?

Top Secret Recipe

I don’t think they’re really secret, because she’s sharing her creations with us on how to make them healthier.

Here’s where it gets really really good.  No more waiting for February to get your Somoa Girl Scout cookie fix.  You can follow her recipe and submerge yourself in Samoa goodness anytime of year.  Homemade and no additives.secret recipes

Gold Fish  Crackers

If you’re a mom, then chances are, you’ve fed many a goldfish to your child.  Heck it was a staple in our house for a bit.  I love that she figured out a recipe for making her own.  She wanted these so badly, she even made her own fish cookie cutter…….well cracker cutter. I bet these are way better for you, not only because they lack additives, but because they are made with love.  (look for her wheat thin recipe too)goldfish cracker recipe

Peanut butter Cups Recipe

Need I say more?

Peanut Butter Cups are my favorite!  I may have to try this……..really soon.

Kale Chips

Because of her heritage, she throws in a few recipes from her childhood.  And after eating all those peanut butter cups, I think we need something healthier.  She says these are good.  She says her husband even eats them. I think I’ll try this too, but I’m going to have some peanut butter cups handy just in case.

I don’t want you to think she only has recipes on her site.  She has some great sewing tutorials…….for those of you who sew.  And a few tutorials for other things…..things that I can do.  Like Clay tags.  I was surprised to read how easy these are.  I’ve bought modeling clay for my son at least 14,000, and I’m sure we still have some around here somewhere.  This is a GREAT idea!  This will put that extra touch on all your gift giving.  Possibly for Mother’s Day?diy clay gift tagsI really enjoyed her site.  Great photos.  Her site reads like a magazine.  It keeps you sucked in interested for a long time.

Just a quick note to let you know my site will be down for a but on Saturday.  Having a new design installed!  {squeal}

Thank you for all who voted for me.  I should find out the results for Round One today.  Cross your fingers.  If I didn’t win round one, then I’ll realize that my readers really don’t love me like they say………..sniff.  I’ll be ok, really.
