DIY Home Ideas

I’ve said it a thousand times………DIY Decorating for your home is much more interesting.  And Fun! Some of my most complimented items in my home are DIY Home Ideas.

I love visiting a home and finding all kinds of DIY projects. Being inspired by someone and getting ideas that perhaps you didn’t think of is always a motivator to add something new to your own home………or maybe just re-decorating with what you have………or maybe just clean it. My home needs a good cleaning right now. I have 3 DIY projects for re-decorating all over my dining room table. I’m losing steam. Hurry, someone invite me over so I can oogle your style.

I wish Landee lived in my area.  I’d be knocking on her door for sure. Landee See Landee Do is FULL of great DIY home decor projects.  I do have to warn you though, she seems to have a high tolerance for projects that take a bit.

DIY Home Projects

Thumb Tack Decorative Balls  – these are the coolest, but I’m not sure if I’d have the thumb power or patience to complete one, let alone several.  This reminds me of my grand ideas to make several gum drop trees……….I ended up making ONE before I threw in the towel.  But I love how these look. She also made holiday trees with gold thumb tacks.  diy home decor crafts

Paper Bag Lanterns

This time of year, these paper lanterns would be perfect for an outdoor space. She’s got a full tutorial on her site. I think I could do more than one of these. diy home crafts

4th of July Wreath

I know how you love to decorate for all the holidays, so I figured you may really enjoy her 4th of July wreath. Once again, pretty simple idea…….but it doesn’t look simple or tacky. That’s the key…….. (tutorial on her site)diy home crafts

DIY Kitchen Back Splash

I think she deserves a medal for this next home DIY idea.  She used vinyl to create herself a back splash for her kitchen.  VINYL!  You know what’s so cool?  She sells the vinyl pre-cut in her Etsy Shop.  I’m going to have to order one sheet to see what it would look like on my back splash. I love how it really dressed up her kitchen and it’s WAY less expensive than tile.

Best Day EVER

Speaking of her Etsy Shop.  I have this cute little sign!  Tauni from the Snap Conference said I HAD to have it! Ever since Char from Crap I’ve Made said it was “The Best Day of her Life” when I featured her, the saying has kinda taken hold.  So I have this cute sign and it’s DARLING!  Now I’m thinking that if her sign was at SNAP, then maybe she was too?  I wonder if I met her? home decor

Who’s going to go let her know “It’s the Best Day of her Life?”

Awww. So happy to see you featured Landee See. Such a cute site, right? The sign really was meant for you…I wouldn’t have felt good about giving it to anyone else…

And guess what? She was at SNAP! Maybe you did meet :)

Eeeek! Kim! I can’t believe you featured me! I now know what Char was talking about! :) Thank you so much for all of the nice things you said! I really… am… flabbergasted. And yes, I was at SNAP! but was waaaaay too shy to meet you! But I saw you. From afar. Like a stalker. :) And I was super excited when Tauni gave you that sign! Couldn’t have gone to a better person! Thanks again for everything!
