Holiday Ready

Now that Halloween is over……the Holidays have officially begun.  It’s time to get the house ready for guests. Suddenly you feel the need to spruce up the ole diggs. Or is that just me?  I’ll be having my inlaws for Thanksgiving like I do every year, but my sister and her family will also be joining us.

So many great ideas on this site.

You don’t have to have a new table and chairs.  Why not find one off craigs list or at a second hand store and paint it.  I love her table.  It reminds me of mine a little bit.  I love old tables.  Much more character.  Not everyone can say their table was once owned by Katherine Hepburn…….like me. :)  But this post isn’t about me…….

I love how she incorporated the turquoise bench.  I need one.  I also need her chairs!  Maybe I’ll just have to use hers for inspiration.  She has a tutorial on how she stenciled these.

Another focal point for the holiday’s is your mantle.  Her Fall mantle is perfect for Thanksgiving.  Beautiful.

Cruising around her blog, I couldn’t help but notice the very cool boys room she did with all the globes and vintage maps.  I’ve got a soft spot for old maps and globes, but then she went and added a numbered dresser.  I’m a goner.

Her simple subway art is perfect.  She also has a tutorial on that too. :)

Well, I hope you’ll head on over and leave her a nice comment.  I’ve been trying to give a shout out on facebook to the first people who leave her comments.  That’s what TCB is about.  Showering the featured blogger with kudos!

Creative Holiday Gift Guide will debut this Saturday!!!  This guide will be different each week, giving you many options for holiday shopping.  If you have a shop that needs exposure, email me. I’ve got a few spots still available.  I do charge an inexpensive fee, but from what I’ve been told………it’s worth so much more. Promoting small shops is my specialty!

I am so in love with the chair, that has the postage marking on it. I want to make one. Rushing over now to see how it is done. I am always so inspired by all the goodness that you share here.
