This past Tuesday for Get Your Craft On brought lots of ideas for Mother’s day! Mothers Day 2012 is May 13th.
Happy Mother’s Day
I haven’t even started to think about Mother’s Day……..well that’s not true. Get Your Craft On actually reminded me. If you usually make Mother’s Day gifts or you want to, here are a few ideas I found from last weeks link up party.
Handmade Mother’s Day Gift Ideas
Amy with Mod Podge Rocks shares a full tutorial on how she made these cherished photo bud vases using PVC piping, photos and of course Mod Podge. Seriously, using photos for Mother’s Day gifts is always a hit.
Myra with My Blessed Life used easy to find chip board letters on a canvas with a little spray paint to create this beautiful Mother’s Day Poem. Once again, you can’t go wrong. A special poem will get them every time.
Serving mom something from the heart makes her feel special. How about heart shaped meatloaf? B Inspired Mama shares a full tutorial on how she made these hunks of love. I’m taking it up a notch and thinking you could make mini heart shaped sliders. Wouldn’t that be fun? Also, tuck this idea away for Valentines Day.
If it’s getting warm where you are, perhaps this Chinese Chicken Salad from Baking with Blondie would be perfect for a Mother’s Day lunch or dinner. I love this Salad. Great for a meal or side dish, great for a gathering.
I LOVE this idea! If you have some of your Mother’s old costume jewelry, and even if you don’t………you could make some beautiful magnets like Just Some Stuff I Saw by placing a small magnet behind the jewel or button. Either way, it’s stylish and fun, it’s also a great way to use the mate to a lost earring.
Seems like Washi Tape is the popular item to craft with lately. I keep forgetting to look for it while out and about. I can’t wait to get my hands on some. This adorable bird house from The NY Melrose Family is the perfect spring craft. The perfect Mother’s Day gift from the grandkids!
