Easy Gifts for Neighbors and Friends

Neighbor Gift Ideas

She has a GREAT tutorial for growing a wonderful neighbor, girlfriend, teacher, or co-worker gift.  It doesn’t take a huge amount of skill, but it looks like it does, so you end up looking pretty crafty in the end.   That is RIGHT up my alley.

It’s a Tradition

I love this girl!  I met her this summer in Utah.  She offered to help my sis with a party…..she has a heart of gold.  She also thinks I’m pretty cool (gotta say that like Miley Cyrus) , so that helps me like her even more.  :) Tauni is one of those really smart girls…….she even worked for a high profile politician, pretty much his right hand man Woman.  I loved hearing her stories.

First you need containers.  She’s got a few examples.

I love how she shows you exactly what you need.  If you’re a visual person like me, this is perfect.  Gives you that feeling that “YES! I can do this”.    So many ways to dress these babies up.

If you’re pressed for time, but you’d still really like to give something like this, do what my girlfriend did. She bought me a amaryllis in a simple white pot.  Truth be told, I think she got the pot at IKEA………great savings there with great style.  It was beautiful.  I loved it.  It’s sitting on my kitchen counter right now.

Tauni’s tutorial is informational and complete.  My favorite kind, but seriously………would you expect anything less from a former Politician’s Right Hand Man Woman?

Gift Recipes

She has an entire post about a co0kie exchange.  With this recipe and tutorial on how to make Gingerbread cookies.  Truth be told, I’ve only been involved in ONE cookie exchange.  Sniiff sniff.  I guess store bought cookies aren’t allowed?  Whatever………Another great idea for a nice gift. Love the label and red ribbon.

Gift Options

Great gift option for a non good gift.

She made these lotion bars to hand out at a blog conference (she also linked these to Get Your Craft On) ……….she’s such an over achiever.  ( yes she’s LDS…….those women really make me look bad)  (but I love them to pieces)

She’s got a great tutorial on how to make these too………..of course she does.  This would be a great stocking stuffer. After packaging them in plastic, she placed them in these little linen bags……….Tauni, please don’t tell me you also MADE those bags…..and stamped them?

OK, they are way too cute……..they are darling.  I’ll give her that much.  Now I’m mad I wasn’t at that blog conference.  I love lotion bars….and linen bags.

Go give Tauni some love.  She is one of the most humble bloggers out there.  Sweet as the morning dew……..really.  Go smother her with lots of comments so she still thinks I’m cool.

I’m afraid I’d kill the bulbs before I got them to the recipient. I’m totally “green thumb” challenged. I do like the lotion bars with linen bags ~ classy touch. Blessings
