Hey, guys! This is Chrissy from The Taylor House. I’m thrilled to be here this summer sharing one of my all time favorite orzo salad summer recipes, Italian Orzo Pasta Salad. It’s one of those salads that’s a great side dish for any picnic, BBQ or party.
I usually make a big dish of this orzo salad and then enjoy it all week as my lunch! It’s such a great break from having a lunch meat sandwich all the time!
Orzo Salad – Italian Orzo Pasta Salad
If you’ve never had Orzo, you need to try it out. It’s a great alternative to traditional pasta’s that you put in salads. The texture is a bit different and it has great flavor. On to the recipe! (printable recipe option below)
How to Make Italian Orzo Pasta Salad
Ingredients You Need
- 12 oz. Orzo Pasta, cooked and cooled
- 1 Cup Cherry Tomatoes, halved
- 1 small Red Onion, diced
- 1 Cucumber, diced
- 1 Cup Feta Cheese
- 1 Cup Italian Dressing
Instructions
Mix all your ingredients together in a large bowl so that all the Orzo and vegetables are coated in the Italian dressing. You can add more or less dressing depending on how you like your salads! Chill in the refrigerator and enjoy!
I love making this salad in the summer when we’re getting fresh tomatoes, onion and cucumbers from the garden. There’s just nothing like a fresh salad that’s full of veggies that you grew yourself!
