Today I am sharing Some fun summertime activities and printable planning calendars!
“I’m Bored. What can I do?”
“What should I do with my friends when they come over today?”
“It’s so hot! How can we beat this heat?”
“Its summer. We need to plan a super fun activity!”
Do you ever hear these things in the summertime? Does it ever get redundant? This post is all about helping you to plan ahead so these questions won’t even need to happen this summer!
Do you fish in the stream, or lazily dream on the banks as the clouds go by?
Is that what you do? So do I!

Oh, what do you do in the summertime?
When all the world is green?
Do you swim in a pool, to keep yourself cool, or swing in a tree up high?
Is that what you do? So do I!

Oh, what do you do in the summertime?
When all the world is green?
Do you march in parades, or drink lemonades, or count all the stars in the sky?
Is that what you do? So do I!
I am an Arizona native, I’ve lived here all of my life, but when I was a young girl up until my teen years I spent all of my summers in Utah. I have many fond memories of those times. Utah is a beautiful place to spend your summers and there was always so much to do. I remember going to church and they always sang this song in the summertime. We would vibrantly sing the above fun and upbeat verses and then we would each share things that we did in the summertime. Then we would add those activities to the song and sing it again. This is a childhood memory I always remember and those summers in Utah were some of the best! {Here is a link to “Oh What Do You Do in the Summertime” written by Dorothy S Anderson and the piano tune that goes with it}
With summer approaching very soon, I wanted to share some ideas for summer activities so you will never be out of ideas! I am also sharing 3 printable calendars for June, July and August. There is a place on the calendar to add your “Summer Fun List” and then you can also pick dates for some of your activities. If you have trouble thinking up new things to do check out this list of 100 summer fun activities:

Now how would you like to plan ahead and be ready for those summer months? This could really help your summer to run a little smoother and even be a little funner! I have the tools right here to get you started! Sit down with the family before summer hits and plan out what you want to put on your calendar, then keep other ideas available to use as “boredom busters”. While you are at it, make your own list as a family. I bet you could come up with hundreds of ideas if you brainstorm.
Are you ready to get started?
Happy Planning!

Umm, I’m pretty sure that June doesn’t have 31 days, so you may want to modify that page. Thanks. The designs are great.
