Believe it or not, we are having a heat wave here in the Pacific NW! The news even called it that! Our temps are supposed to be up near 90 by tomorrow!
Needless to say, we are all working like mad in our yards and gardens, trying to get as much done as possible, trying to gain some Spring Yard Progress before our spring rain returns! See more Before and After shots here.
Remember back when I shared the front of our yard and all it’s woes? We had clover, dead spots, weeds popping up everywhere.
The yard looks lush and is growing like crazy! The dead spots are filling in and the weeds are going away! We used Spectracide® Weed Stop® for Lawns plus Crabgrass Killer Concentrate Ready-to-Spraybecause it will treat your grass for over 250 weed types including crab grass…….which we have a bit in the back.

We’re still filling in the flower bed, trying to figure out what to plant, but the soil is being prepped and looks much better.
We have prepped the rock and pebble area with Spectracide® Weed & Grass Killer to get rid of any extra grass or weeds popping up. This is really the best part because results can be seen within 3 hours! Have you ever tried weeding a pebble bed? It’s not fun. Knowing this can be faster than my teen, is worth it!
It’s still a work in progress……it’s only the beginning of May after all, and we all know that Summer doesn’t begin here in the Portland area until 4th of July!
