Swim Teacher Gift Idea
Hello everyone! My name is Cheryl and I live over at That’s What {Che} Said… I am excited to take a little vacation over here to Kim’s blog to share with you my Swim Teacher Gift Idea with a Free Printable for you to use!!
My boys had swim lessons for 3 weeks so far this summer and we wanted to extend a small token of appreciation for the kids that spent the time to teach them! The instructors are high school and college kids and it’s always nice to be appreciated!
Supplies Needed to Make a Swim Teacher Gift:
- Clear Double Wall Straw Cups
- Vinyl Initials or Clear Scrapbooking Stickers*
- LifeSavers Candies or Peachy Rings
- Red Swedish Fish Candies
- Ribbon
- FREE Printable Swimming Coach Gift Tag
- Hole Punch
- Scissors
- Gift Card of your choice
- Tape
*If you have an electronic cutting tool you can use that to cut some vinyl initials. If you do not have one, don’t worry! You can use scrapbooking stickers! Make sure to choose stickers that have CLEAR backing not PAPER backing. You can see examples of these stickers here on my personalized soaps that I made. The paper backing will not only show a white border but it will also not hold up to washings. The clear backing stickers hold up well.
This little thank you gift could not be easier! I picked up some of these double wall cups at my local dollar store. I applied my vinyl initials to the front of the cups that I cut with my Silhouette CAMEO.
Fill the cups with peachy rings (or lifesavers) and red swedish fish candies. I picked both of these up at my local dollar store as well! . I made sure to insert the straw FIRST and fill the candy around the straw.
Next I printed off these FREE Printable Swimming Coach Gift Tags that I made with a cute little rhyme and cut them out. You can print them on cardstock or regular printer paper. I punched a hole in the corner and then tied onto the cup around the straw with ribbon.
I also include a Restaurant Gift card as well. I chose a Subway because there is one right next to the pool. They taught my kids to swim, I can surely buy them lunch one day! 🙂 I just taped the gift card to the back of the cute rhyme printable.
A simple inexpensive gift idea to show the kids who help our kids swim a little appreciation! Took a matter of minutes to make but brought big smiles both from the coaches and my small people when they got to present their teacher with the token of appreciation!
I invite you over to my place anytime!! I am full of other Silhouette Projects, Crafts and DIY’s! I also love to share simple recipes and treats that my family loves and I know yours will also!
