Valentine Survival Kit
A friend of mine, Lee Doughtery, showed me a gift she received for New Year’s and I fell in love with it! The person who gave it to her said she found the idea on line. I loved the message and wanted to give a version of it to my kids, who are now grown. I thought it would be perfect for me to recreate to give them for Valentine’s Day and more importantly to help them each day throughout their lives.
The “Survival Kit to Help You Each Day” {Love Survival Kit} includes:
Toothpick … to remind you to pick the good qualities in everyone, including yourself.
Rubber-band … to remind you to be flexible. Things might not always go the way you want but it can be worked out.
Eraser … to remind you everyone makes mistakes. That’s okay, we learn by our errors.
Tea Bag … to remind you to take time to relax daily and go over that list of blessings. That is what makes life worth living every minute of everyday.
Band-aid … to remind you to heal hurt feelings, either yours or someone else’s.
Candy-Kiss … to remind you everyone needs a hug or a compliment everyday.
Mint … to remind you that you are worth a mint to your family and other’s around you.
Bubblegum … to remind you to stick with it and you can accomplish anything.
Big Heart … to remind you that you are loved greatly and that you too have a huge heart!
Happy Valentine’s Day~ may you pass on the love to other’s. ~ Melinda
