Philly Water Ice is a frozen dessert that originated in Italy and became popular in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It is made by blending ice with fruit (or flavoring), sugar, and water to create a smooth and refreshing treat. Unlike sorbet or ice cream, Philly Water Ice has a softer and more granular texture, similar to a snow cone.
Simmer until sugar is dissolved. Add lemon juice and flavoring, then chill for 2 hours. Add to ice cream maker for about 20 min. Scoop into containers and freeze.
