1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 2. Cream butter and cream cheese together. I use a mixer to get it as smooth as possible. 3. Add sugar, mixing until light and fluffy. 4. Add egg yolk, vanilla, and lemon peel and mix well. 5. Gradually add flour and salt to cream together. 6. Shape dough into small logs to place into cookie press. 7. Press onto an ungreased cookie sheet or line with a baking mat. 8. If you're having difficulty with the shapes, try chilling your dough for about 30 min before pressing. 9. Baking time is 12 min.
Spritz cookies are easy to decorate with sprinkles, or you can separate the dough and add food coloring for different colored cookies.
