Easy Blackberry Cobbler

This recipe for Blackberry Cobbler is very simple! The batter makes a fluffy biscuit like cobbler that melts in your mouth.  You can substitute in other fruits if desired.

1/2 c. butter

1 c. sugar

1 c. flour

3/4 c. milk

1 1/2 t. baking powder

2 cups blackberries (frozen or fresh)

1. Pour melted butter into the bottom of a 7″x11″ baking dish. 2. Mix together the milk, 1 cup sugar, flour and baking powder. Pour mixture over the butter. 3. Do Not Stir. 4. Sprinkle berries over the batter and butter. I added a few raspberries too. Do Not Stir. 5. Sprinkle a little sugar over the berries if desired. Do Not Stir. 6. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-45 min, or until crust is brown.

Variations: Add additional varieties of berries.  Try it with peaches, blueberries, pears, and more. 

Serve it immediately with ice cream or whipped cream, or both!
