DIY Stamped Burlap Gift Bags make holiday wrapping fast and easy!
Thank goodness there are alternatives to wrapping holiday gifts, because I’m a horrible wrapper. I also lose patience. I think you’re going to love these little DIY Stamped Burlap Gift bags for easy and adorable wrapping. If you haven’t noticed, I love my diy holiday gift bags during the holiday season. Especially these and the iron transfer cotton canvas gift bags.
I first shared this project last year on Tater Tots & Jello, but thought there may be many of you that haven’t seen it.
DIY Stamped Burlap Gift Bags
I have been buying plain cotton and burlap bags in bulk. I like buying them plain so I can work my own magic on them for any celebration throughout the year. Smaller bags like these are perfect for wrapping small gifts, like gift cards, candy, a couple of cookies etc… They always make a simple gift look much more exciting!
Of course these bags alone, tied with a festive tag or ribbon are perfect all on their own, but if you’re a DIY kind of person like myself, I just can’t leave things alone. I just have to put my own stamp on it…… no pun intended.
I have a so many foam stamps in all shapes, themes and sizes which are perfect for dressing up these bags. Foam stamps are so inexpensive and so easy to work with. I don’t like anything that seems too difficult since my attention span is like a toddler. But I do love creating!

How to Stamp Burlap Gift Bags
- I placed a piece of cardstock inside my bag, just in case the paint bled through.
- Coat your stamp with the paint
- Position it and press onto your bag. If needed, take a small paint brush and fill in any area that didn’t stamp well.
- Tie bakers twine (any ribbon works) along with a holiday gift tag
This craft was so easy and quick. It was dry in about 10 minutes. Total craft time was less than 30 minutes.
Now that’s my kind of crafting and wrapping!
I have lots of different styles of printable gift tags to choose from, but if you really want these, download FREE Holiday Gift Tags here.
I love that these bags can be reused over and over.
